My Shiny New White Maine Coon w/ Blue Eyes

Seraphim, my new cat

Meet Seraphim, my new cat (we’ve nicknamed him “Moogle”). As the subject says, he’s a rare white Maine Coon with blue eyes.

Ever since Chaos died in 2009, I’ve been longing for a Maine Coon, but I wanted the perfect animal. I always wanted a white Maine Coon, but they’re exceedingly rare. Ice blue eyes are rarer still. Toss in the qualifications of a “young male” who is “older than a kitten, but younger than a cat,” and my task became a quest.

I can’t tell you how much quieter my house has become, now that Seraph is floating about. Xerxes used to misbehave on a near-constant basis. However, Seraph keeps him in line and Xerxes has transformed into a completely different cat. Christabella, now that she is no longer tormented by Xerxes, has also calmed down and warmed up.

Within six hours of his arrival, my house was improved 500%. And he’s so beautiful. :D

"Tiki God" is now a verb.

My mother was thrown out of her apartment this morning.

Technically, she planned to move within a week, but her complex team claimed they never heard about this arrangement and she was due to leave…well…yesterday.

And, today, like every move, we’re due for a MONSOON.

There’s a supposed two-hour “window” of nice weather between storms, when we’ll try to move the water-soluable property.

“What will we do?” my mother asked me.

“Remember the Tiki God?”

Tiki-god

In our last move, Carrie wrapped my armoire in garbage bags and painter’s tape, stylizing it to look like a Tiki God. It was well-insulated from the inevitable storm.

“We’ll just Tiki-God everything,” I reassured my mother.

At least it never gets boring. :D
